Casie gave the man a curtsy in response to his bow.

"It is a pleasure to meet the God of Thunder."

She took the cask from him.

"You honor me with your gift, and would honor me more if you would share it with me."

She turned to Ryan as she approached and smiled.

"Good evening De'Ryanna."

To dance or not to dance, that was the question. Armandeus could dance, though the idea of doing it where others could see was unsettling. Instead he alternated between focusing on his dessert and talking to Ryan to watching the dancers on the floor.

This strange pattern continued until De'Ryanna had reached out to touch his shoulder. She wished to introduce him to someone called Thor, and so he would follow. A bit behind, because he couldn't resist leaving that last bite of his dessert there, Armandeus came up behind the group to stand off to Ryan's side.

Ilúvënis had been watching her Mommy and JonLouis dancing. She saw the way they were looking at each other. She may be six, but she knew that there had to be more than friendship between them. Maybe there was a way for both of them to realize that. With that in mind she got her courage up, and walked up to her grandfather.

"Um excuse me Gramps? I have a favor to ask you."

Inion could have danced all night, but she took a break to get something to drink. She watched as her girls chatted with thier dance partners and looked down as Dia came up and nuzzled her hand. She gave the pup a pet and in a word she allowed Dia to wonder off to find her friends if she wanted. Croga sat quietly and watched everything he sensed something that Inion either didn't or was choosing to ignore.

After Maddie had got through passing out Epiphany's special drinks, and the few bracelets Kyra had her to hand out, she walked out to Swifty, and got the basket Kyra had sent with friendship bracelets for the rest of the guest. She decided to make the one big basket into several miny baskets using some of her training on Avalon.

She walked back into and placed a basket of bracelets on each table, that way everyone would get theirs.

While Kyra was dancing with Isah she noticed that Maddie put out the baskets of bracelets and once Maddie left the baskets a note would appear on each of the handles.

-Please feel free to take one of these bracelets. There are several different types so please choose the one that fits you best or one that you like. I hope you like them.- It was signed Kyra.

She thought it was best since she didn't know everyone at the inn that each person get to choose the one they wanted. But once a bracelet was chosen and kept it would inscribe itself by magical means with the owner's name on it. Sheena had helped her with that affect. She hoped everyone enjoyed their gifts. Some of these bracelets would also be left at the front desk of the inn for anyone wishing one that didn't attend the ball.

((I asked to NPC Kjay and thought it would be ok to NPC Dia as Dia had been sent over to play with Levi, if it wasn't ok than sorry Inion.))

Tasha was sitting there petting Leviathan, who had rested her head in Tasha's lap. She saw what Shuda was doing for Seleen and she sighed, she was happy for Seleen, really she was. She knew that Seleen had not had a boyfriend since Michael and she was glad that she had found someone.

This brought Tasha's attention to the rings she wore. One from Gareth, a symbol of their love. A promise to spend the rest of their lives together. Well, it would have been had there been a band with it. They had never made it to the alter. And on the other hand, an amethyst, another symbol of love.

Tasha just sighed. She saw Maddie placing baskets upon the tables and she got up to go peek into them. No one would have noticed her doing so as everyone was wrapped up in the ball. She saw one that was tigers eye. The note on the basket said they were from Kyra and that everyone was welcome to one, so she picked it up.

She held no ill will towards the child, she had just picked the wrong morning to say the wrong thing in their previous meeting. Amends would be made at a later date. But for now, she would slip on the bracelet of tigers eye and wood beads. It wasn't a match to her jewelry or her outfit, but she didn't care, it was pretty and she liked it.

She watched as the bracelet seemed to change while it was upon her wrist. This brought a genuine smile to the were's face for some reason. It was a rare thing for her to smile that way these days. She returned to her seat and pet Levi some more.

But then Dia came over to play with Levi. This made Tasha wonder where Kjay was. She moved the cloth under the table and peeked under it. She smiled once again. The poor wolf had fallen asleep under the table in front of where Kahn was sitting. "Kjay" He looked up and his tail started wagging.

"Come on you guys." She got up from her seat once again and walked over to the big glass doors that lead to the outside. Right behind her were the three musketeers. She chuckled as she opened the door to let them out. "Ok, stay on Claremount lands and Levi, Kjay, don't let Dia wonder off. You two keep an eye on the pup, ok?" She knew they would understand and that the three of them would be ok.

Once the three were outside, she closed the door, but didn't latch it in case they needed to get back in and no one saw them. Then she returned to her seat. She didn't even notice that she had been playing with her amethyst as she walked. But she sat back down and watched. Snacking on another Hershey's kiss from her little bucket.

Dia gave Tasha's hand a nudge with her nose and a quick lick before bounding out the door to play. She didn't know the grounds so she was sure to stick close to Kjay and Levi.

Inion watched the pup go out and smiled, she was glad the Dia had found playmates in sorts. Croga could be a grumpy snob of a demon at times.

Shuda's song had ended. He looked like he would maybe play more. But while he was setting up the band played another song from their set. This was another that JonLouis had wanted to hear. The first few notes of music gave that away and he rose from his seat. "Belle, honor me with another dance?" He offered her his hand.

Once they were out on the dance floor he pulled her close into a very non traditional pose. He wrapped both hands around her waist in almost a hug as he peered down into her gorgeous blue eyes. he waited for her arms to come up and circle around his neck and then he began to sway to the music. His feet took small steps as they slowly turned and swayed.

It could be said that the Frenchman had a flare for the dramatic all his own. He loved being in the presence of lovely women, Belle especially. And he loved to do one other thing when inspiration struck him. This being St. Valentine's Day, he was inspired. So when the lyrics began, once again ...

When the song finished he hugged her tighter and leaned down kissing her deeply. Right there in the middle of the dance floor for everyone to see. Any who were dancing at the same time as them would have easily seen the passion in that kiss. It emanated from them like heat from a fire.

Once their tongues had danced for what seemed like hours, but was mere moments, he broke the kiss and smiled down at her as he escorted her back to their seats. He only released her hand long enough for them to sit back down then he took her hand back in his own and kissed her again with a chaste peck upon her beautiful lips.

Midnight had been outside all day. She was happy sleeping on, and at one point under, Willow. Inside there were lot's of people, who would be dancing and walking around. There would be loud noisy music and just nothing Midnight wanted anything to do with.

But then someone had let out the three musketeers. Leviathan, Midnight was cool with. But she had Kjay with her as usual, and that puppy, Dia, yea that was the name. There was no way that she was going to run a marathon to escape those three with her fur. So she snuck into the castle.

Venis and Kahn were wearing white, so that was no safe haven, she shed no matter what time of year it was. Seleen was wearing white too, and Tasha was wearing purple. Her black fur would have gotten all over them. Hey she had her moments. So she went and climbed into a chair at the same table as Seleen. Yes, safe, right?

One of the servants brought Venis a note, at the same time she saw Thor enter. He was speaking to Casie and De'Ryanna, Armandeus was right behind her. So she chose to simply speak to him and leave it at that. She wouldn't even raise from her seat as they were close enough to hear her. "Excuse me, hello Thor." That was all she had to say. She opened her note.

Venis,
I was outside and saw a guest fleeing, I went to check on her and now she is resting in my room. I took the room next to it. Sorry I missed the ball, but I'm very tired. So I'm going to bed. Love you, goodnight

Venis folded up the note and stuck it in her purse. She leaned over and whispered to Kahn about the note and the reason for Manny's absence. Not that Kahn would have cared, he rarely got upset with the employee's for anything unless they did something horribly wrong.

She had thought that what Shuda had done for Seleen was very sweet, and she would probably tell him as much later. Eros seemed to be enjoying his new Granddaughter. Her Granddaughter had shown, but had still chose not to come and see her. That was ok, she had given her a gift and that was progress.

The band was playing from their play list again and JonLouis had Emilia out on the dance floor. They looked good together. And the conversation she had with Emilia's daughter on the way to the ball was ringing in her head as she watched them dance. She knew that the child had high hopes. But she was too young to understand the way of adults. She knew that there was always hope of someday, but that day would not come as soon as she hoped.

Venis squeezed Kahn's hand and leaned over to kiss him softly. She was the luckiest woman in the world. As she looked around the ball room filled with her family and friends, she knew that was true.

Emilia took his hand and let her escort him to the dance floor.

"You know I will"

Her words were spoken in a whisper; she knew the song as well. He has spoken a line from this song to her the night they first met. She had not listened to the song since then. Now he was leading her to the dance floor.

She slid her arms around his neck as he held her close looking into his eyes as he sang to her. She knew that he was going to be leaving shortly after the ball to go back to the Council; that made the words mean so much more now.

When the dance was over he pulled her even closer and kissed her. She closed her eyes. Her mouth opened to his; their tongues finishing the dance their body’s had started. Passion was the right word to describe the kiss, it was clear that there was a fire burning in each of them at that moment.

When he broke it she smiled back at him and followed him back to the chair. She kissed him back and looked into his eyes.

Casandra received a letter from Sara. She said thank you and opened it.

"Thor if you will excuse me please."

She bowed her head and walked over to Emilia and JonLouis. She had received the same letter that Venis had. She handed the letter to Emilia.

"I think it is safe to say that your mother is in safe hands, seams Manny is with her."

"Thank you Casandra, my mother told me that she was with Manny, she is safe, and as for ok I am not sure."

She sighed.

"It is complicated, and I know she would want to apologize for being rude."

"I did not think she was rude, I think she handled it rather well. It is clear she has a very strong dislike of your father."

She moved back to her seat at the table and took Marques hand in hers. All in all the ball was beautiful and she was enjoying herself.

Isah noticed that something he had said seemed to make Kyra upset. He was sympathetic to her not wanting to meet Venis too soon, if at all. But he was definitely glad that she chose not to vocalize her feelings. He wasn't sure how he would handle that. "Of course we can sweety" He escorted her from the dance floor. He pulled the little bottle from his breast pocket and drank it.

The rest of the men were having a good time. Some were dancing, some were talking, it was just a wonderful evening all around. Jorge's youngest son Juan was waiting for Emilia's daughter to say she would dance with him. And Andrew had been shunned by Madeline when he had asked her to dance, but he went to find her to ask again.

Kyra gave him a smiled as she held his hand and let him walk off the dance floor. She noticed he drank the bottle and was curios what it was but she would ask him about it later. She let him lead her from the dance floor and let him lead her where he wished.

"Thank you. Where would you like to go sit at?"

Maddie saw everyone dancing and having a good time, and the music made her miss her Jono. Hearing JonLouis sing to Emilia was beautiful, and made her heart ache more. She could feel a tear flowing odwn her cheek. This ball was suppose to a happy one. One for people being in love, and all that other mushy stuff. She wiped her cheek, and decided to leave before anyone could see her heart breaking.

Maddie put on her happy face, and made her way through the dancing crowd. She saw her sister and Armandeus talking to someone she didn't know and waved at De'Ryanna.

She also passed by Venis's table and said her goodbyes to them.

She finally reached her hostess's table. "Thank you for inviting me Miss Casandra. It truely has been a beautiful ball. I'm going to go ahead and make my way back to the inn. Once again, thank you for inviting me."

Maddie smiled at Casandra. "Thank you for the offer, but thereis some business I must attend to, that can't wait."

Maddie gave Cas a hug, and a kiss on the cheek. "Don't worry, I'll make it back ok. Please tell Natalie, and DJ it was a joy to see them again."

After that, Maddie made her way out into the front of Claremount. She whistled for swifty. It was cool out so she put on her cloak, making sure her dagger was where she could reach it just in case.

Once Swifty was in front of her, she mounted her horse. "Come on swifty let's go to the inn."

With in minutes they had were on there way to the inn.

Ilúvënis was talking to her grandfather while watching her mommy, and JonLouis dance. The song he sang to her sounded so sweet. Which put more ideas into her little head.

Andrew saw Maddie leave without even noticing his wishing to dance with her. That was fine, she had other things on her mind he guessed. Little Juan was having some troubles as well. He had been asking Emilia's daughter Ilúvënis to dance for the majority of the night. He too was getting the cold shoulder. So he gave up and walked away.

Isah led Kyra back to the tables they had been seated at before and held her chair for her. He looked around to find someone who could get her something to drink.

The rest of the men were still mingling and dancing the night away.

He looked down as his new granddaughter and smiled. "Why should I do something when it is already there little one? You have to understand that even if I could do something it would not take effect." Yes he could see what was going on between his daughter and JonLouis. "It is just going to take a while but it is already there." He gets up from his seat and leans down and kisses his granddaughter on the cheek. "Now if you will excuse me I have go for a little bit." With that he gets up and looks around. He starts to walk over to Tasha and when he got there, he bows letting his wings extend halfway down and out and smiles. "My dear would you give me this honor for a dance?" He puts his hand out.

Tasha looked up at Eros with a look of shock upon her face. "You, wish to dance, with me?" An eyebrow was arched in response. "I will dance with you, if you promise to behave." She most definitely did not need any of Eros' little tricks that he used when he touched people. The last thing she was in the mood for was to be acting like she was in heat on the dance floor.

She turned in her chair and placed her left hand upon the skirts of her gown as she placed her right hand in his. The placement of her hand making her amethyst rather pronounced. This brought a hint of blush to her cheeks. But she rose from her seat and allowed him to escort her to the dance floor. Second thoughts would be an understatement.
