Casandra smiled as the waltz ended and nodded to the band. They began to play the more modern music. She looked at Amadeo and kissed him softly. She took his hand and returned to her chair to have a drink.

"I hope that you enjoy the music, I asked for input from several people on the songs to be played. I made sure that the song we danced to at Halloween was there as well."

She giggled at the thought of standing on his feet while they dance and simply shook her head as the music changed. Kyra spoke softly rather embarrassed about what she was going to say.

"I really don't know how to dance at all. I learned a few things from watching people but.....never been trained like everyone else here seems to have been."

She wanted to spend time with him and didn't care if it meant making a fool of herself by pretending to know how to dance or just sit some where and talk. She also thought this was going to be a good Valentine's Day and probably better than sitting around in her room at the castle wishing she were here. Her thoughts did drift to her father and hoped he was ok. She would send a message once the party was over to let him know she was ok.

Leo, he had been calmly watching the events of the Ball. Perhaps, he was watching a little too calmly, and you know what they say when someone is being too quite - they were up to something. What Leo could have been up to? Ah, that was something that would be seen in time, yes?

Her cake was brought out and he let the women do that thing they loved to do - talk about how lovely things are, especially the gifts. There was one lovely thing he could talk about and she was here at the table with him. Now was not to time to think too much on the scheming of things, it was time to dance.

Leo waited until the other ladies from the table had gotten up before he did the same. Rising up he moved behind Inion's chair and leaned forward to kiss her cheek, all while slyly easing out her chair. He spoke against her ear. "I have something for your birthday too. But right now, we dance."

He was asking her to dance with him to the more modern music. Music was music afterall.

Ilúvënis watched as her Mom, and JonLouis dancing together. They made such a lovely couple, and they seemed to love each other..more than they would admit to. She looked over to her grandfather Eros, who was dressed up like cupid. She wondered if he could do anything to speed things up between those two.

As she watched everyone dance, she thught everyone looked soooo pretty.

She let him ease her out of her chair and turned to face him, gave him a kiss on the cheek, "I see my girls gave my secret away before tonight" She let him lead her to the dance floor, the music was perfect and in no time they were moving in time with it. Even in the crowd of the dance floor her only focus was on him. When he twirled her she laughed outloud a laugh that twinkled in her eyes and showed her happiness.

She couldn't wait to what he had for her, but right now she was enjoying just dancing with him.

The orchestra stopped playing. It was time for more modern music. JonLouis like some modern music. And when he heard the first few notes of the first song to be played he looked at Belle. "If you would excuse me a moment, I do believe I owe this dance to another." He escorted her to her seat and then went to tap Kahn on the shoulder. "May I cut in?"

The God of Death stepped back from his wife and JonLouis stepped into his place. Hie right arm slid around Princesse's waist and his left hand took her right. He held her hand against his chest as he held her close. He was used to the difference in height. The song wasn't exactly a waltz, but their movements were just as graceful as they swayed and turned to the music.

She had stepped out of her shoes and put her forehead against his with her arm draped over his shoulders, they were that close. And when the lyrics began ...

During this instrumental break he had leaned to the side to ask the band to play the longest version, rather than the one they had planned on playing. He had his reasons. And the words to the next part were their favorite part of the song. For personal reasons of course.

Neither of them had been shy about their singing. They had been friends for hundreds of years, and it would make sense that they could move together and sing together in such a way, even in French. At the end of the song, he dipped her.

He brought her upright again and walked her over to Kahn, giving her hand back to her husband. Then he kissed her cheek, thanked her for the dance and returned to Belle's side.

((Ok, now you all are crazy if you think I'm translating these Lyrics back to English after translating them to French.))

Casandra stood from the table, there was a man there she did not know.

"Excuse me a moment please Marques."

She kissed him softly and gathered up her gown in the front so she would not step on it as she walked over to the tall blond man in the red cape.

"Hello Sir, my name is Lady Casandra Lightheart; welcome to my home. I am afraid that dinner has been finished but if you are hungry you just have to ask any of the staff."

She smiled up at him.

"You may sit wherever there is an empty chair."

What a night! First Aiden had been hog-tied into a suit by Vesta, which he was smokin' in, and now she was dragging the poor guy all over the place! Lucky for her Aiden had a knack for adventure and didn't require any "coaxing" into exploring the Castle grounds.

Night was a vampire's best friend and Vesta would get to see a rare treat: Aiden without his tinted glasses! For as goofy as the guy acted at times his eyes didn't lie about what he was. They were black, piercing eyes of a predator. Hopefully they didn't freak Vesta out too much when she got a full look at them!

When she pointed towards the towers his gaze followed. "You know about architecture?" It was a bit of a surprise, though when you got to thinking about it, how much did he really know about the girl? Not much except she didn't seemed fazed by vampires and had a unique sense in fashion! "Do they have towers and castles where you are from?"

What was that? Aiden had seen something out of the very corner of his eye and turned just in time to see a woman running out of the Castle. "Is it midnight already? It looks like Cinderella is leaving the ball."

The Elf had never been one for crowds, no matter how much space was between he and others, it still brought feelings of being trapped. He did not regret his decision to join De'Ryanna at the Ball, however, any time spent with her was greatly enjoyed.

Armandeus had been watching as well as people all over the room took the offered drinks. "I remember one Elessar brought back to me that caused snowflakes to come from my mouth." He shook his head, a hint of an amused smile forming. "I do enjoy the drink she calls Sunshine."

Dessert? The word alone was enough to brighten Ar's mood enough he actually grinned. This Elf had a sweet tooth bigger than the Rhy'Din continent. "Dessert sounds great."

When the music changed Isah and Kyra stayed on the dance floor. He simply changed the way he was dancing. And as long as they kept talking she should be too busy to try and think of how she was dancing. That made it easier for him to lead her around the dance floor. "You're Grandmother gives us all dance lesson's when we come to work for her, unless we already know how to dance. Maybe if you ever decide to meet her, than she and your step-grandfather can teach you if you want to." He was trying to not dance with her too close to her Grandmother and JonLouis.

The other men were asking their dance partners if they wanted to stay on the floor with them when the next song started and some of them even saw JonLouis stepping in to dance with Venis. This was going to be interesting. Those who's partners wished to remain on the floor did so, adjusting their dancing accordingly. Any who wanted to change partners also did so.

Juan was still trying to convince Emilia's daughter to dance. And Shamus went over to ask Emilia if she wanted to dance as JonLouis was on the floor with Venis and Shamus had yet to dance. William escorted Tasha back to her seat as she declined dancing a second dance with him. He hung out with her for a few minutes petting Leviathan and talking before returning to his seat.

Seleen had taken Shuda's hand and went out to the dance floor with him. She was all smiled as he waltzed her around the dance floor. When the waltz ended and something more modern came on, she smiled as she looked over and saw JonLouis had asked to cut in with Venis and Kahn. This song had a meaning for them. She remained in Shuda's arms until he was ready to leave the dance floor. She would dance all night if that was what he wanted. She loved to dance.

He kisses her on the nose before letting her and he walks over to where Cassandra was and lightly tapped her on the shoulder. "Excuse me Lady Cassandra but I was wondering if the thing I sent here earlier was here." Oh yes he had something up his sleeve.

He just chuckles. "Ok then.." He did not she was the entertainer for tonight so she was busy. He starts to walk over to the band and he sees what he sent here was leaning on some equipment. He rubs his hands together. He would have to thank Cassandra later for what he was about to do.

After the band got done doing the song they were singing he went up to the leader and started talking to him. After a few words were said he walked over to the Orchestra Conductor and tapped him on the shoulder. After a few words were said there the band, the Conductor and Shuda was in a circle talking.

Seleen sat down and watched as Shuda ran around doing something. She arched an eyebrow, but there was a smile on her face. At the very least she was getting a good view of him from where she sat. That was enough to make anyone smile. Well, her at least.

After a few a little bit of talk between them, He smiles he was able to do what he wanted to. "This is great" He thought so the rest of the bend got back up on stage and he grabbed the case and brought it up. He laid it down and opened it up. Inside was a electric guitar made of a deep red, red wood. He slowly put his hand over it smiling before he picked it up. As he did flames started to lick the guitar. Some of the band members took a step back and just looked at it. "Ok man that is just freaky how did you make it do that?" one of the band member says. He just chuckles "It is just a effect on the guitar it will not burn." Well most of that is true only he was the only one that could do that with the guitar. He puts the strap over his head and adjusted it before tinkering with the strings making sure they were in tune.

Seleen saw him moving around up on the stage. Was that fire? People were clearing the dance floor as the band was no longer playing. Seleen herself picked up her freshly filled glass of blood wine and took a sip. She figured some others might take this chance for some refreshment themselves. In the mean time she watched and waited.

As he finally got everything ready he tapped on the mic for a second to get every ones attention. "Hello everyone, Some of you know me and some do not. My name is Shuda and with the help of Lady Cassandra. I will now be playing a few songs that I have picked out for a very special lady." He looks around finding Seleen and he smiles at her.

Ok, now she wanted to crawl under the table, shrink down into her skirts, anything. She smiled at him and even blew him a kiss though. He was so sweet. She was embarrassed as all get out, but he was still sweet, and she just smiled.

He just smirked as he looked over at the band. He nods over to the rest of the band as they put up two more mics as the base guitarist takes a step back from his mic and the vocal leader takes a step back from his mic.

"Ready one two, one two three."

With that the base starts to go off as well as the drummer. At the right point Shuda strums the high string and with his finger still on the string he brings it up the full length of the neck. All three of the vocals including himself steps up to the mic.

"Hey hey"
They take a step back as he looks down at the guitar and starts strumming looking down at neck of his guitar. They take another step forward and speck in the mics
"Hey hey"
With that he stays next to the mic as the other two step back. His fingers moving fluidly over the strings. He starts singing.

"Sometimes I feel like everybody's got a problem
Sometimes I feel like nobody wants to solve them"

He looks down at the guitar before looking back up.

"I know that people say we're never gonna make it
But I know we're going to get through this"

The backup singers come up their mics.

(Close your eyes and please don't let me go)

He just smiles at them before starting his line.

"Don't, don't, don't, don't let me go now"

Again they say.
(Close your eyes don't let me let you go)

He replies with his part.

"Don't, don't, don't"

And with that they start singing together.

All the while taking peeks at his guitar before putting his mouth back next to the mic.

After the first chorus was done he just kept looking down at his guitar before starting back up again.

His fingers moving fast on the string.

Another kiss says we're lying on the pavement
If they could see us they would tell us that we're crazy

The backup singers come back up to the mic.

The chorus comes back up.

Now he moves his fingers up to the lower notes being in sync with the base player.

he starts again moving his fingers over the higher strings.

He removes his hands from the guitar letting it swing as he puts one hand on the mic stand and puts the other one over the mic.

With the he picks up his guitar again and starts to strum away as the songs starts to end.

His fingers starts to move faster as he starts the final verse.

The backup singers came in when they needed knowing when to come in.

With that they did that verse again before letting Shuda do the final five notes. And then the music stops as he looks around the room.

Seleen smiled so big that even her fangs were showing. No one had ever done something so sweet for her before. When he was done, she clapped her hands. And he had never looked sexier than he did standing there with that guitar strapped to him. She was still a little embarrassed, but she was too happy to care. The man she loved just sang to her right in front of their friends. She couldn't imagine a better Valentines present.

Emilia just smiled as she sat with JonLouis her head on his shoulder. What Shuda did was sweet, and he was actually very good.

"I was just talking with my mother, she was with Manny, and I don't know how he did it but he got through to her. My mother actually admited to being able to relax around him. She is upstairs right now going to sleep."

She just gave him an awkward think again look when he suggested that she let Venis and her husband teach her how to dance but she reserved further comments to herself and was intent on enjoying the evening. She ignored the fact that Venis was on the dance floor as well and Isah seemed to be doing his best to keep them apart. She was thankful she wasn't be pressured to be near her or talk to her. Kyra still had a smile while they danced together. After a little while she whispered to him.

"Can we take a break from dancing? I need something to drink and maybe some fresh air."

She continued dancing until he agreed to leave the dance floor.

From where she sat at the table with Armandeus she watched other people get up and begin dancing. She could dance, but she wasn't sure if she wanted to or not besides, the two of them had dessert to eat. Both of them had a sweet tooth - or two - and she didn't mind simply sitting with him and talking.

Shuda had gotten up on stage and was taking over the job of the band. As he sang his guitar lit on fire, but she didn't smell any of the normal scents associated when things burn. Conclusion: it was fire that didn't burn. Still, she thought it was good. While she watched something else caught her eye, a red cape and the man who wore it.

She reached over with her right hand and touched Armandeus on the shoulder. "Thor is here. I should introduce you." It would be unheard of for her to not go over and speak to him. Now that Armandeus knew where she was going, De'Ryanna pushed back her chair and stood, brushing out the creases in her dress.

Making her way over to Thor she saw that Casandra had engaged him in conversation. She cleared her throat lightly and then smiled to the pair of them. "Excuse me, please." Manners, yes. "Casandra, let me introduce you to Thor." Casandra looked as if she did not know who he was and De'Ryanna was all for introductions. Sometimes. She smiled as she addressed Thor, a bow of her head. "It's good to see you."

With a bow of respect to the mistress of the castle Thor reached a hand into the folds of his cape. pulling from it a small wooden cask. A barrel about the size of a half gallon of milk.

" I offer Asgardian mead, fermented of the finest honey in the great Alfhiem," Eyes Left his wonderful hostess to move to the woman with whom he had already met and offered her another polite bow of his head." Good Eve Madam De'Ryanna. It is good to see you as well. I do Trust that you are finding yourself in good health and humor."
