He had heard and seen enough. He thought it was what Tasha was talking about, but soon dismissed it. She was proud of her independence, someties to proud. On a night that might have been spent with family or a night meant for fun. here he was watching his her flaunt her changing abilities and flaunt her disregard to her own warnings.

He knew someone was going to get hurt, and had the feeling once again it was going to be them. The people that loved her. he had seen the distaste she had for him. The way his cocky attitude rubbed her wrong, even her mention. He had seen how she had sided with Gawain in protecting the slip of a girl in the halls. He had heard about how defensive she was when he was asking about Kindred.

Now she was doing this. He took it personal. She had not wanted him to help her and she did not want his help now. He was being treated like a lackey, not family. He was not going to have it.

So he did hold Tasha close, and turned his attention on her. He even began the walk to her room, there he would leave her. "Watch her Tasha. I can not. I have some thinking to do, so will be in my room. I hope to see you on the morrow as we discussed." He leaned up and kissed her cheek, "Thank you for the evening."

With that he left, his mind already fully of thoughts. He threw out all of them that concerned Venis, as she often said. she was a big girl and would take care of herself. He thought about other things, and shook his head as he remembered a few more things. The more things change, the more they stayed the same. He honestly wondered if he could give up a part of himself for the first time in a long time. he went into his room, got ready for bed as he normally did sleeping naked in case he need to change in a hurry, and crawled into it to sleep and extra light sleep
