Longing for a home Empty Longing for a home

Post by Guest Wed Oct 22, 2008 10:11 pm

A cloaked figure walks along the path in search of a place to call home. Even if it is only for a little while. She never had a place she felt comfortable enough to stay for longer than a night or two. Stopping for a short time to cover her tracks and to also make sure she was not being tracked. Knowing where she came from and that someone was bound to attempt to look for her but she was doing well not to let her trail be discovered. Continuing on she finally stops in front of a building that she was hoping was an inn and all of her insticts and feelings told her it was. She took a deep breath hoping and wishing it was different than the ones she came upon before. She opens the door and walks in letting the door close behind her. Waiting a few moments to take in her surroundings and letting her eyes adjust to the lighting. Finally, she makes her way to the front desk and knocks lightly on the counter top to get someones attention to get a bed.

Madeline heard the knock on the counter top, and went to the front desk. She saw a cloaked figure standing at the front desk."Hello. Welcome to Tel'Ranaemyn. My name is Madeline, how can I help you."

She lowered the hood of her cloak and looked to the one who spoke. Saddened midnight blue eyes staired up at the her. In a soft voice she spoke.

"Yes ma'am, do you have a room that I could occupy?"

She spoke as if she were older knowing the consequences if she did not. She waited trying to be patient but peered behind her to make sure she was not followed.

Madeline pulled out the register book, and a key to a room on the first floor. "Yes we do. Just sign the book. Your room is just down the hall on your left 3rd door on your ight. The room is one silver coin a night. Is there any thing I can get you.

She nodded and pulled out a bag from underneath her cloak and pulled out enough silver for 3 nights and handed them to the woman. She reached up and got the book so she could sign it and then returned it to the counter. Taking the key she nodded to her.

"The only thing I can think of is where would I go to get some food?"

She held the key in her hand making sure she remembered where she said her room was.

The bar and kitchen is off to the right. If you need anything else, please let me know. I work the bar too if you need anything. Mdeline eyed the girl carefully. Madeline recognized the look of a tied girl on the run. She would know it was her over nine years ago.

She nodded to her and noted where she was talking about and then went off to her room to change and hopefully get a bath while she was at it. She found her room and went in to take care of her grooming needs.

"Thank you miss Madeline"
