Tasha went and sat down at the table where she had set the gemstones that Ha'Ruil had given her. She started examining them closer to see what cuts to make where and what size. They were good stones. They had a lot of potential. She started with the ruby. She started cutting away layers of the stone that looked more like the rock it come from than the pretty pick gem that lay beneath. It wasn't a difficult task. And soon she was looking at a chunk of ruby that could make more than one stone.

Then she turned her attention to the emerald. She could get some rather large stones from this one. It was extravagant. She examined it closely. She started looking through her setting to see what she had that would be suitable for these lovely stones. She thought about each piece that she picked up that would hold two stones. She was going to enjoy this. Making Jewelry relaxed her.

She found a pendant in white gold that was rather lovely. It would hold two cabochon stones. So she cut some of the emerald and shaped it. Then she put it in the tumbler so that it would get smoothed over into a nice cabochon. It look a bit longer to tumble gem stones than it did rocks. So while she was tumbling the emerald she measured and cut a piece of the ruby from the darkest pink area. She made sure it was ready to go into the tumbler next.

She still had some of the uncut stones. She went digging again. She only had a small portion of the ruby that could still be used without there being cracks. She found the cutest pendant in yellow and white gold. She measured the settings and cut the little stones for the setting. She needed two small faceted emeralds for the pendant as well. So she made sure that she cut them as well. She used the small torch and the rubber mallet to set the little stones. Once the pendant cooled she put a gold chain through it and placed it upon her neck.

She still had a rather large portion of the emerald left. So she dug around and found a pair of earrings that required briolette stones hanging from them. She had just enough emerald left to cut a couple of good size stones for the earrings. So she cut the stones and drilled them. Then she set them. The earrings had pewter roses on them. Once she had them completed she put them in her ears in the bottom holes. She smiled as she took the emerald from the tumbler and put the ruby in there. She wouldn't tumble the ruby as long. She didn't want it perfectly smooth, and it was a smaller stone.

While the ruby was in the tumbler she took out the torch again and set the emerald with the rubber mallet. It looked great. When the ruby was finished she set it as well. She pulled out a length of leather cord and fed it through the setting. She left the clasp off of it so he could tie it on at the length he wished to have it. Then she got out a little red and blue gift box shaped like a crab and placed the necklace inside. She added a not that read 'Thank you again. I am wearing some of the stones and now so can you.' It was simply signed Tasha. She took another slip of paper and wrote 'Ha'Ruil' on it and placed a rubber band around the box and secured his name to the box with the rubber.

Then she got up and headed down to the desk. Once she was down there she placed the box on the desk so that someone would see it and deliver it to him or let him know it was there at least. She chuckled as she headed back up to her room. She was rather happy with herself for what she had done. Not only had she made good use of the stones that he had given her, but she had shared the stones with him as well. She wasn't sure if she would take the necklace off or not, but she would wear it a lot even if she did take it off once in a while. She would have to take out the earrings sometimes. But she would wear them as often as she could. After all, they were technically gifts. Once she was back in her room she started to clean up the stuff she had used to make the trinkets.

Nothing like learning something new every day.

Ailylaeli was down on the main floor looking for something to do. She had gone behind the bar and poured herself a glass of juice. She looked up from putting the juice away when she saw a woman leave something at the front desk and then leave again.

Curiosity wasn't just for cat's, no pun intended. She went over to the desk to see what as left there. After all, it could be something important. And low and behold, it was. It was a gift. She flipped through the book to find a name that matched the name on the box. Even if she had no idea what the box said, she could see when two letters were the same.

Name matched, room found.

She looked at the room number and then headed up. There wasn't anyone at the bar at the moment, nor any new guests to check in. It was cool for her to make the delivery. So up to the second floor she went. She took in the atmosphere as she went. She had yet to explore the Inn or anywhere around it.

She found the right room. Lucky her. She was so happy that she knew her numbers. She was really going to have a problem when she had to make someone a drink. But she would learn. For now though, she was standing outside the door of the room she needed for delivering the gift. Hopefully they were in.

Right hand raised and. *Knock knock knock knock.*

He was laying down when heard a knock on his door.

"I wonder who that could be."

With that he got up and walked over to the door. He opened up the door and looked to see who it was. Who ever it was that on the other side of the door would see that he was without a shirt and he was wearing his leather pants. And the oddest thing about him was that there was an actual squirrel sitting on top of his head. He saw the lady at the door and looked at her.

"May I help you?"

The squirrel then got off his head moved to his shoulder and squeaked once before it jumped back up on top of his head.

The door was answered.

Ailylaeli was startled by the door opening. She was even more startled by the squirrel who seemed to be screaming at her from atop his shoulder. She smiled at the man who answered. "I believe this is for you sir." She offered him the box that had been left at the front desk. She would wait for him to take the box and then she would head back to the desk.

Maybe she could do this job after all

He looked down at the box and tilted his head sideways.

"I wonder who it could be from."

So with that he extended his hand to take the box. But wouldn't you know it as soon as he got his hand close enough to the box the squirrel jumped off his head and ran across his arm to his hand. The squirrel then took the top of the box with its teeth and jumped off his hand to land on the floor to go running into his room.

"Why you little.....get back here with that."

He looked up at the lady and smiled.

"I am sorry but I have squirrel to capture."

And with that he slowly closed the door and then there was a loud "Gotcha" could be heard and then a crash of something wooden.

Don't squirrels bite?

Ailylaeli almost dropped the box as the squirrel ran to her hand to grab the box. As soon as the squirrel had a hold of the box she pulled her hand back behind her.
"Have a nice ..." He was chasing the squirrel, and the door was closing. "... Day sir?" She turned to go. That was when she heard the crash. He had caught the squirrel. Something was broken.

That was her cue, she took off.
