A surprise for Arcadia

Lydia woke up on a particular Sunday morning unusually happy. She stretched her arms and grinned. "Hopper today is Mother's Day, wanna go with me and pick Mama some flowers right quick.?" She knew Hopper wouldn't let her go unless he went. So Hopper got up and followed her onto the porch. Lydia didn't have to look far because right off the porch were some beautiful daisies growing. Lydia smiled and picked two, one to represent her, and one for her sister. When she was done, she went back inside. Once inside, Lydia went to the kitchen and got a small plastic cup and put a little bit of water in it. Lydia carefully took the cup and put it on the kitchen table, and propped up a card she had made Arcadia in front of it.

After she was satisfied, her and Hopper went back to her room and played quietly.

Arcadia woke up rather late to find the bed next to her empty and no noise coming from the house. A little worried she got out of bed and put on her robe making her way to the other rooms to see where everyone was at. She smiled seeing Lydia and Hopper playing quietly but not wanting to disturb them. She continued downstairs seeing if Dre was up and about the house but instead she saw a card and two flowers. Sitting down she read the card and tears fell down her cheek. This was the first time she received a Mother's Day card from either of her daughters. This was also the first year she had her daughters with her. Last year was too new for them all to consider celebrating the day. Arcadia sat there for quite a long time just holding the card and thinking.
