Ivan chuckled. "Looks like. Good think we worked up an appetite this morning." He laughed then. "Looks good Marsha, thank you" He took a drink of his juice and then started eating.

She began to eat as well.

"Thank you, for the help, and for the talk."

She continued to eat, and took a drink from her cup.

"Keep what I told you between us, please?"

Ivan waited until his mouth was empty before he spoke. "Oh yea, definitely. No worries there Cas. My lips are sealed." He took another drink of his juice.

She smiled and nodded her head.

"Thank you."

She took a few more bites and then drank more of the juice.

"I am sure people see it but I have never said it out loud."

He once again emptied his mouth before he spoke. "No worries Cas, I've got your back. You can calm down. No need to stress." He would take her secret to the grave if he had to.

Ivan took a drink of his juice. "Any time. You know you can trust me. But why haven't you said anything to any one? You could at least tell V. I think she's cool with him. Isn't she?" Sometimes it was hard to tell with Venis. Especially in a formal setting like the ball had been.

She smiled.

"V likes him, it just kind of slipped out, and you know how protective V is of me. She hears I'm falling in love with him and she will go into protective mode. She knows after everything I have been through I can't handle loseing another man I love."

Now the sadness was in her eyes. Amadeo had left again and when he left he could be gone for weeks at a time, what ever it was had to be important or he would not have left in the middle of the ball; they had both been looking forward to the evening.

Ivan finished up his breakfast and got up to carry his dishes to the sink. He ran hot water over them and set them in the basin of the sink. Then he walked back over to Casie. He hugged her head to his chest and kissed her temple. "Well, all will be well. And you know I am here for you kiddo. But for now, I need to head back down to the stables and prepare the caravan for the trip back. Thanks for the talk and breakfast." He headed out then. He would see her back at the Inn later.

She smiled at Ivan as he spoke to her.

"Thanks for the help Ivan."

She let him hug her and kiss her temple.

"Ok I guess you can work the ball is over."
