Late Night Snacks.

Doctor Blake had been up late tonight, working on filing some paperwork. It wasnt at all unusual for him to be such. mostly because of the hours he worked. So his body was in flux, not knowing when it was supposed to sleep or when it was supposed to stay awake, as a result he couldn't sleep. and it was about eleven at night now and well who's to say he couldn't get up and go downstairs for a bite. Unfortunately, Doctor blake wasnt going down to the bar alone to bother anyone for just him. so, when he left his room, barefoot and wearing his jimmy jams of flannel pants, and a t-shirt that had a comic book character on it 'captain america' he stopped at Emelia's door right next to his, and gave it a knock.

"Hey Ems." a smile, eyes meeting hers in that smile before a suprised look."Mind reader? yeah, I was thinking about heading down to the bar, but I didnt want to bug them for just myself... if you havent eaten yet would you mind joning me?"

"oh..."he was still barefoot and in his jim jams, when she came back out in her jeans and a tank top."Should I uh, go change too? Is there a dress code? I didnt know..."

"Oh? you're adpoting? thats awesome... I'm a big advocate of that, and uh, yeah that would be cool, dinner then? at my place? I was thinking fish and chips. do they have that?"

Doc blake pulled the door open a moment later, he had cleared a space on the floor, and he had pulled the coffee table out so they could use it to eat off of.

" Hey there Ems, come on in." he hadnt done much to reorgonize the room, so it looked just normal with his medecine roll on the night stand, and his walking stick laying o the bed." what did you get?" motioning to a seat.

"Wine's cool... its like eleven thirty at night, and I dont have to be at work so its cool."

He took a seat opposite her on the floor, since she was on the couch it was his only other option. and one of the nice fish strips was taken. and munched hastily.

"oh man, these are fantastic... " another bite. and then he motioend tot he fish" try one... really moist flavorful." another bite and then he lifted the wine bottle and poured out two glasses. taking a sip from his own." So, You've adopted a little one huh? thats cool."

A few of the fries then picked up and he munched one of them before taking another sip of his own wine.

"Thats very admirable. you're a braver woman then I am, I'm never off work long enough to care for a child... though the plus side is, when you need a pediatrician... I am pretty solis with internal medicine. and I'm cheap too... well I would be if i where private practice. Which I'm not. so I'm really free" and aparently he didnt realize how bad that was out of context

"hm? what? wait... yeah, you could say I am... Though i justify that by being really really picky. You're a model? thats cool, what do you model? I you know could have, but the bum knee stopped that cold."

another fry and then a bite from his bit of fish.

"Damn right you could... but people dont want a limping model, and I though I could better serve the people by healing. Good looks helps in a hospital too you know"

sipping his own wine before taking a few more bites. picking the bottle up to top his glass off offering the same of hers.

" people are usually more cooperative."

"Teenage rebellion really... mom and dad ran a farm. and I wanted to help people." who knows if that actually happened or if it was just part of his memory given when Odin created Donald to house his son.

"that and I never really had a farmers hands. always said I was counting too much money."

He gave a grin and took another bite of the fish before motioning his hands out.

"I can see you ruining dear old dads wild and crazy Grecian sex parties... s'what I would have done... hedonism not really its biggest fan... well its alright, but sometimes people take it way too far... greek gods are all about it from what I've read..."

and then a wince before a drink from his glass." No offense intended!" quickly and then with a nod.

well from what I've read, that common for many elves in the area... why dont you go off and visit her? learnt he family trade from the source right?"

a few more fried stuffed into his mouth before he gave a nice contented sigh adn leaned back onto both palms.

"four?" a brow raised as he sat forward leaning into the table, taking another sip form his wine."There are only two on earth... are there more here in Rhy'Din? but isnt it good that you see her? and why dont you go see her more often?"
