Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania, Transylvania to be exact, there lies a coffin in the deepest dungeons of the charred remains of an ancient castle. Within this coffin there is a man. But this is no ordinary man, no, not by any means. This man is old, quite old, some believe older than recorded time. But the years do not reflect upon his features. No, he would still be able to pass for one one-hundredth of his age, at least. He has no pulse, his lungs draw no air, he has no soul, so ... He is dead, right?

So if this man is dead, why is it that now, as we speak, his eyes shot open? That's right, his dark sunken eyes opened up to show the visual orbs that rested below. It took mere seconds for the man to understand what exactly it was that stirred him from his slumber. But once he knew, the corners of his lips curled into a very wicked grin. That simple action was followed be a maniacal laugh that was dark enough to make skin crawl.

The man sat upright within the coffin, pushing the lid open along the way. He looked to be pulled by an invisible string as he moved to be standing erect withing the coffin. He had not pushed himself up with his arms, he had not rolled over onto his knees. He was simply sitting, then standing. Nothing more to the movement. With a turn of his head accompanied by a tilt his neck cracked like a bowl of breakfast cereal. Again to the other side and then a roll of the shoulders. Once he had done that, he was ready. He stepped from the coffin and walked away from it.

He made quick work of the staircase that lead up from this deep, dark, dungeon. Once he burst through the doors at the top, he stopped down the hallways. Remnants of burnt tapestries still hung there. He began to tear them down. With every door he passed in this hallway, he used the side of his fist and punched against it, causing it to fly open. He reached an open area of the castle, still absent of it's wood fixtures. He stomped over to a lone throne. With a spin he turned and sat upon this throne and threw one leg over the arm, tilting to the other side. Then he opened his mouth and bellowed out one name. "SABLE ..."

She heard her name being bellowed from somewhere within the castle walls. She caught her breath deep within her throat. What was he doing awake? It was too soon. She ran from where she was supervising reconstruction of a few things around the castle. That blasted witch had nearly killed them all when she set this place ablaze. And she headed for the first place she thought he would be ... His thrown.

One she stood before him she stepped forward and dropped to one knee. Left arm extended out in front of her, bent at the elbow to cross in front of her. Her fist clenched tight and her head bowed down almost to her knee. "Yes, M'Lord? What is your bidding?" She knew better than to ask anything more of him. And she knew better than to make him wait. So there she was as quickly as she could have gotten there.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Now that Sable had finally gotten down to the throne room Vlad looked over at the woman. "What took you so long? Never mind that. You can stop torturing that miserable blonde twit we have upstairs. It is more than obvious that she is not going to tell us anything. Of all the half-wits to abduct. You couldn't take someone who would talk." Perhaps what he had said sounded like a question, but even if it had, it would have been rhetorical.

He shook his head and sighed. "She has reverted to her true nature, just as I had anticipated. I told you that she would kill again. That thing that she had turned, is he ready? Has he become acclimated to his new role in life? He is the key. Once we have found her, we will show him to her and she will know that we have the blonde. She will do as we wish then. She would never risk the life of her child to defy me." He only spoke words that he thought to be fact. Would she come back, would they have to bring her back kicking and screaming? All was yet to be seen.

He looked down at Sable and he sighed yet again. "Mobilize a party, a small party, perhaps half. That should be enough to get her attention. Make sure you take the yearling. Now get out of my site. Oh and Sable, I want the Lutenant back too. Fail me and it will be your head." He brushed his hands towards her to dismiss her. "And get me someone to eat!" Yelled out as she was walking away having been dismissed. He shook his head as he looked at what was left of his castle after what he fireball had done to it. It was saddening.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Post by Sable Sun May 17, 2009 1:43 am

Sable stayed where she was, she didn't dare rise and stand against him. She knew better. She listened to him as he spoke to her, but she didn't dare interrupt him with answers. No, for answers she would wait until he was finished. He was in no mood to be interrupted.

Finally he dismissed her. She rose and bowed to him. As she was bowed she made her apologies. "I am sorry M'Lord. Yes, the yearling is ready. He understands his place now. Does this mean that I can kill the blonde now?" She looked up, without standing up straight, to see his reply. The look upon his face made her look back down. "Yes, M'Lord, right away." She rose up from her bent over position and headed away from the throne room. She as yelling out to others as she hit the bottom of the stairs.

She was calling out names. She was going to send out search parties to check some places out. See if they could pin point an area to find her in. "Creed, Benevolence, Libidinous, Necrosis, Plague, Calescent, Coy." She was calling out the names as she wound her way up the steps. She entered a room at the top of the stairs. And it didn't take long for the seven men to make their way to the room as well.

She was standing there looking at the beaten and battered blonde. She was hanging from shackles upon the wall like she had been crucified. Her head was hung down and she was unconscious at the moment. As strong willed as her mother, the little twit wouldn't even admit her mother had returned to Rhy'Din, let alone cough up a location. Sable stood there with her hand upon one hip just looking at her and shaking her head.

When she heard the men entering she turned to look at them. "Creed, Necrosis. I want the two of you to go to the Goddess' keep. Lay low, and watch for her. You are there as a scouting party only. If you get seen and she finds you out, you are on your own. Go, now. Plague, Calescent. Same deal with the two of you. Go to that Society that she used to belong to. You will find a portal at the end of the wall that will take you to her house and club directly. We did manage to get that much out of her head when she was here. Go, and don't get caught. Benevolence, Libidinous, there is a forest between the two, and a small town. Go and watch for her there. And do not get caught. Coy, he's hungry. Go find him someone to eat. Someone juicy. He's not eaten in a while." She pointed to the door for them to leave.

She returned her attention to the blonde hanging on the wall. "It's too bad I can't kill you and use your hide as a tapestry. Oh well." She walked over and lifted the girls head. Her pretty eyes had been swollen shut from the beatings. She had a split lip and there were countless bruises, and that was just her face. Unfortunately, by the time she was returned to Rhy'Din, she would have healed. Her mother would never get the pleasure of seeing her colorful and swollen face.

It had been a long time since any of the men had been sent out for anything other than food. Chances were, they were all getting rather restless. Creed definitely was. He had been away from the hunt for too long. And here he was being ordered out to watch and observe only? This did not settle well with him. "If we see her, or a member of her entourage, should we not take capture and use it to our advantage?" He looked to his brothers at arms for support with his idea.

Necrosis looked at Creed then back at Sable. He sighed as he looked between the two. "At least we are being sent out, nor matter the reason. But yes, would it not benefit us to take capture if we think that one has information we could use? Just have a no feeding rule?" He always tried to keep the peace. It served no one's purposes to always be as hot headed as Creed was.

Plague was never one to enter an argument that would cause it to appear that he was going against orders. He always just did as he was told, and if those orders put him into a situation where it was him or the other being, he just made sure he was the one to walk away. So when Sable gave the order he was already going to turn to go. So with a slight bow to Sable. "Yes Ma'am." And he turned to get his things to go. Leaving the argument for others.

Calescent stood there silently and waited to see what Sable had to say about Creed's question. It wouldn't work for him and Plague to be on the same scouting team and neither of them know. But he did step back from where he stood next to Creed as he had no desire to get caught in any cross fire if Sable was going to punish the hot headed Vampire. And because he knew her temper, he figured it was just a matter of when, rather than if.

Benevolence knew that he would need to know the answer to the question as well. After all, if there was a change to their orders, and they didn't follow that change, they would be punished. And he hated to be punished. So he waited, with his hands behind his back and his head hung in respect. After all, Sable was their leader now. So she was supposed to be treated with respect.

Libidinous wasn't one to get involved either. But he did have another question for the vampress. "Also, Sable, are we to take a messenger, send a messenger from there, or one of us return to inform you of anything we find?" It wasn't a disrespectful question. It was important information to have. After all, they had to get word back to her somehow. So he wanted to be sure of the method before they left. There was no room for error where they were going. One tiny mistake could cost them all their lives. And Libidinous liked his life.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Post by Coy Mon May 18, 2009 4:19 pm

No matter how long Coy lived he was always going to be a good 'ol southern boy. He was one of the few Americans within the Army. He was no where near as old as the others. He had been created to replace a fallen soldier. He was one of the last of her creations before she abandoned them all. But he had been around long enough to know why she felt she had to leave. So he held no ill will towards her.

Now it was the fact that he was one of the youngest that he was chosen to stay behind. The only reason Sable had called forth the seven men that she had was they were the ones working in the area where she was stomping her way up the stairs. So when she issued him an order, he simply gave her a bow of respect and a soft. "Yes Ma'am, right away." And he turned to leave the room.

His task was a simple one. Go out and find the master someone to eat. So he did. He headed out of the castle and to the stables. He saddled a horse and rode off into Transylvania proper. He hit a local tavern and waited for a nice, plump lovely to come in. When he saw her, he chatted her up. Once he had her giggling and relaxed, he asked her back to his place. The women in this area still fell for it, even after all these hundreds of thousands of years.

He put her on his horse and they headed up to the castle. He told her that there was someone she just had to meet. He then escorted the lovely to the throne room. He introduced her to Vlad. Vlad did whatever he was going to do with her. Coy was smart enough to take his thank you from Vlad and leave the room. The master hated having an audience when he was eating. So Coy headed back up the stairs and back to work.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Post by Sable Mon May 18, 2009 5:55 pm

Sable sighed as she heard Creed and his attitude towards their orders. It was because of that cursed woman who created them. She treated them as beings rather than tools. So they felt they had the right to talk to her in such a way. They were tools, nothing more. But she had been unable to teach them that so far. But she would answer his question just so he would shut up about it. "Fine, yes, take capture. But only if they might have something important to tell. And no killing! Keep you feeding habits to small animals. Six beings or large animals going missing a day will definitely grab the attention of others."

She thought that that would be the end of it. But then Libidinous had a question of his own. At least his question was a valid one and he showed her the proper respect when he asked. "I'm sorry, yes Libidinous, send a messenger from there. I need you to travel lightly. And a messenger is more baggage than you will need. Now go, all of you." She waved her hand dismissively at them and watched as they fled the room. She had already taken an angry tone with them when she answered Creed's question. Perhaps they figured that they were scared to stay any longer. After all, she had one hell of a temper herself.

She walked over to their captive and pulled her head back with by her hair. She picked up a bottle of blood wine off the table. She poured some of the blood wine into the blonde's mouth and let it run down before she let the blonde's head lay back down. Then she moved over to the window to watch for the men. She saw them leave the castle and head for the woods. As they disappeared in the woods she looked forth to the clearing. That was where the first portal was. She watched as each of the men disappeared into the portal and then she left the room.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Post by Lord V Mon May 18, 2009 7:28 pm

It was more than just a look that the master vampire gave her when she asked such a stupid question. No, there were words with that look. "Sure, you can kill her, if you wish to be skinned alive and used as jerky. Because you know as well as I, that is what she will do to you if you kill her daughter. And I am sorry my lovely, but I would be powerless to stop her." Yes, he had just admitted that there was one more powerful than he. There was no shame in second place. Especially when the one who was more powerful was as she was in order to keep vampires from extinction.

When the petite vampress left him he sighed. He truly had nothing to keep him entertained at the moment. It was two hours of sitting there staring at the empty walls before Coy arrived with his dinner. He smiled and rose from his seat as Coy walked in with the lovely. After Coy left he walked over to the lady. "Hello pretty lady, my name is Vlad. Would you care to join me for dinner?" He took her right hand in his and placed a kiss upon her knuckles.

The woman giggled and blushed as she turned her head and nodded. "I would love to Vlad. My name is Marie." She looked at his eyes as she spoke. He was so very handsome. He had the most beautiful eyes.

Vlad was happy that the woman, Marie, looked into his eyes. He looked back into hers deeply as he spoke. "Do you like my throne Marie? It has real jewels and real gold. You should try it, it's very luxurious." He led her by her hand over to his throne and helped her sit down. He never broke eye contact with her.

She sat down in the throne. Her eyes never left his, and her hand did not either. The throne was rather soft and plush. It was a nice way to sit every day. "This is a wonderful throne Vlad. So what is for dinner tonight?" She watched him as he moved.

He walked around behind the throne and to the other side. He saw her head move as she followed his movements. He was knelt down beside her on her right side. He rose and bent over to whisper in her ear. "You." With that he opened his mouth and bit down on her bared neck. He slowly began to drink from her.

She continued to hold his hand and look into his eyes as he moved around the throne. He leaned over to her and whispered in her ear. But she must have heard him wrong. But then she felt his fangs puncturing her neck. She was just about to say something when she felt it. It was rather euphoric. So she closed her eyes and tilted her head for him.

He drank the woman down to the last two drops of blood she had in her. Then he shoved her from within his throne to the floor. He kicked at the heap of dead flesh to move it so he could again sit upon his throne. Someone would be along to clean up the mess later.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

... Back in Rhy'Din.

Venis was sleeping as soundly as ever. The sleep of the dead Tasha liked to call it. Usually, when Venis slept, that was what she was, dead. Dead to everything other than that feeling in the pit of her stomach. Sometimes there were beings who needed her, even when she was asleep. So that stomach ache was the one thing that was never deadened by her slumber.

But this night, this night was odd. The feeling in the pit of her stomach had not changed. Nor did she waken to an urgent need to go somewhere to help someone. But the Goddess' mind awoke. And she was dreaming. But this was no ordinary dream. There were no fairy tales in this dream. No goals or aspirations. In fact, there was nothing nice about it whatsoever.

No, this would be better described as a nightmare, or even worse, a night terror. Venis stirred, she rolled over to her side. Hopefully she wouldn't wake Kahn. But she turned back onto her back again. Then another role to her other side. Her closed fist hit the bed beside her. She even kicked at the covers.

So what visions could fill the vampire's mind and cause her to toss about in such a way? Death. What else? She couldn't see anything clearly, but there was a battle raging. There were bodies falling only to rise again. There was blood everywhere. The sleeping woman could even taste it in her mouth. And what seemed like it lasted hours in her mind was over in minutes. And then Venis rolled back onto her back and fell dead asleep again.

Seleen on the other hand, she didn't have the same problems to deal with as Venis. So when she slept, she slept. And at the same moment that Venis was stirring in her sleep, Seleen was snuggled up close to Shuda sleeping like she was dead. She wasn't prone to dreams, especially not nightmares. But she was sure having night visions this night. It was like triggered memories. And most of the time when this happened, she still lay still throughout the night.

But even Seleen stirred with the coming of the others. They were all Venis' creations, even Seleen, but there was one presence that stood out amongst the rest. And Seleen probably would have ever felt them that night were it not for this one. She sat straight up in bed and called out one name. "Libidinous." Thinking it nothing more than a dream, she laid down to go back to sleep.

Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains Empty Re: Somewhere in the Carpathian Mountains

Post by Casandra Lightheart Sat Jun 13, 2009 1:28 am

Ice blues blink open and then slam closed again. True, the room had been darkened as per Kahn's request, but her eyes knew it was a bright spring day outside. She then did something very unusual. She rolled over and groaned about getting out of bed. Kahn had, of course, already left for the day. So Venis dragged herself out of bed and went to the bathroom. She took a shower and even scrubbed her face clean of make-up. Which took a lot of scrubbing, given she had enhanced make-up. She climbed out of the shower and wound her hair into a bun atop her head. She reached into her armoire and pulled out a plain pull over dress that fell to half way down her calves. She didn't bother with a dress clip to fit the cotton garment to her shape. She didn't even bother with shoes or fresh make-up. She exited her room closing her door behind her, and headed across the hall to Casie's room. Dark circles under her puffy eyes gave away her lack of proper sleep as she knocked upon the door. Five knocks. *Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock*

Cas was sitting at her desk doing paper work. She looked confused, something here was not adding up right. She was in jeans and a t-shirt her hair combed but it was a bit wild at the moment as she had been running her hands through it a lot. That was when she heard a knock at the door. Good she needed the distraction. She opened the door a smile on her face as she saw V. When she looked closer her face went to a look of concern.

"V are you ok? You look like hell."

Venis attempted a half assed grin at the pun. "Thanks, love you too." She rubbed her eyes and yawned, yes yawned. "Um, you busy?" She leaned her disheveled form against the door jam, almost like she was too tired to stand.

She looked at her really concerned now.

"Come on V, the kids are in their room playing video games. You need to sit down"

She pushed herself up and away from the door jam. "Ok." Note the lack of arguing. "Video games sound kinda fun right now. Maybe I should go play with the kids. The lack of violence would be a refreshing change." She knew how violent video games were. But compared to her life, and especially her nightmares, they were tame. She took a seat like she had kind of been told to do.

She looked at her.

"Ok V, whats going on? Something is wrong, you really do look like hell and you are not arguing with me about being told to sit down."

She put emphasis on the word told. It was true, something had to be very wrong.

Venis sighed. "Something is wrong. A few vampires from my Army have come to Rhy'Din. At least it feels like they have. I don't know anymore. Cas, I have had nightmares the past few nights. A vampire, having nightmares." She shook her head. "I am that which goes bump in the night." A yawn. "Why are there bogymen haunting me?" Rhetorical of course. "If they have come, they have either defected, or they're coming to take me away." There was some pun intended there as well. "Vlad must have awoken. He still wants me to do his bidding." A sight hint of fear to her voice, but not for her own safety. For that of those around her.

Cas listened to her.

"Venis, nightmares for you is a very bad thing. I never said anything before because I didn't think anything of it, but Nat thinks she saw something in the forest, and Kjay won't let me near it now. When I try, he blocks my path."

She looked at her very concerned.

"You need to tell me the whole story. If something is scaring you it has to be bad."

Venis took a deep breath and began slowly. "When Vlad had us kidnapped, it was because his Granddaughter, nine generations down, had been killed. He had sent Zsuzsanna and Seleen out to hunt for food. Zsusanna got killed by some hunters who were hunting vampires. That was what he wanted, he wanted me to bring her back. The problem is, she is trapped in limbo. She was an innocent child when he violated her and turned her, so she was bound for Heaven, but after he turned her, she became as evil and wicked as he is, which bound her for hell. So she's trapped, it hasn't been decided yet. I could have brought her back, even restored her body from the ashes, But Casie, she has a chance at still getting into Heaven. If I bring her back, that chance is blown." She lowered her head and shook it slightly. Then she looked up at her with blood tears in her eyes. "I told him that I couldn't bring her back. He refused to believe me, so he tortured me. And when that didn't work, he tortured Tasha. She wouldn't let me give in. So the poor child is still in limbo and trying to get into Heaven, Vlad is trying to ruin that for her again. I'm one of two who could bring her back, but I also can't do it alone. Last time I performed a resurrection like that was with Gawain's help, when he was the God of Death. So to bring her back, I would need Kahn too." She paused for a moment to let that sink in.

She listened to Venis and then sat down herself.

"That poor child."

She looked at her.

"If you mean what I think you mean, then the army is probably not here to defect. You think they are here to try to bring you back any way they can."

She ran her hands through her hair again, making it just a little more messy.

"Do you want to talk to Nat, and ask her what she saw?"

Venis thought about the Nat question as she answered to the rest of what she had said. "I had hoped that if it was them, they were here to defect. He's very cruel to them because they are mine. I feel so bad for them, but I can't exactly bring a hundred and fifty vampires to Rhy'Din, it would be a disaster. Um, if you think it wouldn't scare Nat, then yes please. I kind of need a bit of a description of what she saw." She was worried. If Nat saw one of her vampires, than Cas and the twins were already in danger.

Cas forced a smile on her face and went to the door, opening it she called Nat to come out for a minute. As she had hoped DJ was so engrossed in his game at the moment he waved at her and went back to playing it.

Nat came out and looked from her mom to V.

"Aunt V what's wrong?"

Venis turned in her chair and smiled at Nat. "Hi baby girl." Yep, she was a little shaken. "Your Mom said you thought you saw something the other day. In the woods I believe. Can you tell me what you remember?" She knew Nat usually had a good memory, it was time to see just how good.

She looked at V, was that all she wanted.

"I thought I saw a man there. Tall with short and long black hair."

She meant it was short in the back and longer in the front.

"I think he had a beard, but only on his chin, but when I turned to look again there was nothing there but a tree and shadows."

Venis looked slightly perplexed. That could describe many men, but Venis' instincts were screaming at her. "Thank you sweety. After lunch, there's some fresh baked brownies in Uncle Manny's room if your Mommy doesn't mind." She leaned over and gave Nat a kiss to her cheek so she could go back to hanging out with her brother.

Nat smiled.

"Brownies, can I have one mommy?"

Cas nodded at her with a smile, and then watched as she went back to the room. She heard her telling DJ they were getting brownies after lunch. Cas looked at V.

"Well, what is it V? What did my daughter see?"

Yes she had called it a what, because she was not sure, but the look V had said a lot.

Venis drew in her bottom lip. "Chances are, she saw Libidinous. I sort of felt him in the nightmare. Maybe I should ask Seleen what she thinks." Seleen had found a way to entertain herself with Libidinous a few times. She would have felt him had he come to Rhy'Din. Some of the others as well. So maybe it was a good idea to talk to her as well.

"If it was, and Kjay caught his scent, then that would explain him not wanting me near the forest."

Venis nodded. "He would have a distinct smell. Kjay would notice it and not like it." She looked over at her little fluffy buddy. "Kjay, come here boy." She patted her leg.

When he heard his name Kjay stood and walked over to Venis. He did look a bit fluffy he had just had a bath. He looked up at V as he sat on the floor in front of her.

She reached out and pet him on his nice clean head. ~What did you smell in the woods baby?~ Hey, she is a God.

Kjay looked at Venis.

~I was hunting and smelled rotting meat, but it wasn't a dead animal. It almost smelled like a grave yard. I don't want my human near it. It felt evil.~

Venis chuckled. She wasn't laughing at Kjay though. ~You would think that a Toreador would have better hygiene. Thank you boy, you were a big help.~ She looked over at Casie and nodded as a blood tear rolled down her cheek.

Kjay put his head in V's lap, she was sad. He would stay there till she left or told him to go lay down.

Cas looked at her.

"I am not sure what it all means."

Venis bent down and kissed Kjay's head as she pet him and let him stay in her lap. Then she looked over at Cas again. "It means that they are coming, but why? If it's for me, than everyone here is in danger ... Especially you and the kids. If they find out where I am, I can lead them away, but I still want this Inn protected, and I want you and the kids out of here. I will send you away with the Marques if I can, if not, I'll send you to JonLouis. The council can protect you. Plus, they will send back up. Hopefully." She drew her bottom lip in again and bit down on it. She was still stroking Kjay's head the whole time.

Cas looked at Venis.

"You know I do not like the idea of running away, I don't run away from things just because there is danger."

Venis looked her *ahem* dead in the eyes. "I cannot protect you and take care of everything else at the same time. If they have come for me, and they discover you, you might as well call your lovely crimson locks a big red target. Casie, this time, you have to go. And yes, my dearest friend, that is an order from the Goddess of Protection." That should have been all the seriousness Venis needed to emphasize about the situation.

Cas sighed. This was a lot more serious than she knew. She knew that she might be a target for someone trying to find Venis, but she didn't know that it would be like this.

"I will agree to it, but only when it is absolutely necessary that I leave."

Venis nodded. "Agreed. Though, if you wait too long, you might have to use the trunk. But all that aside. Right now, I only feel a few, no more than six. Some of them I was not as close to as others, so the bond has grown too weak over the centuries." She shook her head. "I hate this. If I feel anyone else, I'm going on red alert. In the mean time, I'm going to make some preparations. One of which is to get you a cell phone. I want to be able to reach you all times of the day and night and you can't mental link with me. I'm going to talk to a few others of great power as well. God's forbid he sends the entire army after me. Though, even if he did, they would not stand a chance." She stated that as if it were fact, because in Venis' mind, it was.

Cassie nodded at her.

"You will have to show me how to use the cell phone, I have seen them but I have never had one."

She knew all the employees had them, and even recently saw Ivan using one.

"I will leave when I have to, but I don't like it. I leave because of my children. Where it not for them you would have to drag me out."

Venis smiled. "And drag you out I would, I love you too much to let you perish in such a way. I would have to bring you back and let you hate me for the next five hundred or so years." She chuckled then. She loved that Cas had lightened the mood. But she was already going over the list of allies in her mind. "So it's a deal then?" She had to make sure.

She nodded.

"It's a deal, I will leave when I have too and take the twins and Kjay with me. You need to get some sleep."

Venis shook her head as she stood to leave. "I'll try for a nap later. For now, I have too much on my mind. It would never be quiet enough for me to sleep. So I will go speak to a few people and then see about a nap. Ok?" She was leaning slightly so that she could continue to pet Kjay.

Kjay was wagging his tail as V got up.

Cas nodded.

"Ok but you have to get some rest, you will need the energy."

She smiled as she hugged her friend.

"I love you too, V."

She would let her go and sit back down at her desk, the problem with the numbers forgotten for the moment.

Venis stopped petting Kjay to hug Casie. "Yes, still lots to do for weddings and parties." She laughed as she headed out of the door. She knew she had to try to take that nap, Casie would check up on her later.

Cass was a bit worried now, and given that they might have to leave at a moments notice she went back into the room the twins where in.

"Nat, DJ, I need you two to get a bag packed with a weeks worth of clothes and set it by the door please."

DJ looked at his mom and turned off the game.

"Mom whats wrong?"

Nat looked at Cas.

"Mommie am I in trouble because I told Aunt Venis about the man I thought I saw in the forest."

Cas smiled as she looked at natalie.

"No little one, you did very well, Venis thinks the people in the forest are part of the army she used to lead, other vampires, only they are not nice like some of the ones you know.

If they find out Venis is at the Inn then we will have to leave very quickly. I promised Venis we would, she thinks that they will try to use us to get to her."

They both nodded and started to pack the bags. Soon they were done and bags were placed by the door. Cas' own bag was added soon after.
